Racing stuff
This is from Toyota’s NASCAR Racing’s notes. Each auto maker produces notes about their teams. But being a guy who still remembers going to that Amy Grant concert when she was just a teen, I had to run this.
Byron Goggin, who lives in Tifton, Ga., and serves as Joe Gibbs Racing’s corporate motor coach driver, was a Grammy-nominated drummer in the band Small Town Poets, which was nominated for ‘Rock Gospel Album of the Year’ in 1998.

Bobby Bowden
Poor coach Bowden has had his troubles this week, with the Florida State Seminoles being put on probation and the possibility looming of him losing some of his 382 victories. However, it sounds like he’s still focuses on first base.
Free agents
Matt Stover, who is very outspoken about his faith, is no longer a place kicker for the Baltimore Ravens and Tony Richardson, (same clause as for Stover), has a one-year contract with the New York Jets.
