NBA outreach
This Philadelphia 76er pours his money back to the Detroit inner-city because he said it’s a responsibility. “First and foremost, when God blesses you with the ability to do what you want to do for a living and be able to make an impact, it’s always good to come back to the community and give back,” said Willie Green, a guard with the 76ers.

I was pleasantly surprised. There were a number of X-Game athletes who credited Jesus Christ for their success. Several of them also honored Jeremy Lusk, who was killed six months ago. Here’s a Youtube video of Lusk and his baptism.

Even more Tim Tebow
Even the Jewish Journal covers Tim Tebow. Here’s the video of “THE QUESTION” at the SEC Media Days.

Inspirational athlete
This former high school athlete, present-day inspiration, is having a day in Logansport, La. in his honor. He was paralyzed during a football game, but went on to continually overcome challenges. Doctors told the 62-year-old that he might live 15 more years when he was 17-years-old.

Prison, Central America trip
Jay Frank, a College of New Jersey guard, will always remember his trip to a prison in Central American and a two-week journey through Central America with Athletes in Action.

 Morgan Shepherd
Saturday was another Top 20 finish for Morgan Shepherd in the Nationwide Series race held in Iowa. Even bigger news for the motorsports icon, he was selected for the Talladega Walk of Fame.

Rapper outreach
This ‘rapper’ got the idea for this 9th Ward in Houston outreach at a basketball game. I give him a gold star for creativity with ‘convicts corner’.
