Nice story about the Anderson Servants, a summer collegiate baseball team, meaning a team of college players that player together during the summer. What’s nice about this team is it’s made up of Christians. On the back of their jerseys is “1 Cor 9:25,” standing for the verse in 1 Corinthians which reads: “Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.” According to the team’s website, players participate in personal discipleship and community service during the season.
Steve Fitzhugh, a Christian speaker affiliated with FCA, has released a rap song on video called Nasty. For years Fitzhugh has been performing the song at FCA’s OW2P events and rallies across the country and has received great response in his efforts to reduce smoking and drug use among students, but now there is a video to go along with it. Warning, if you’re over 18, you may not appreciate this video.
John Smoltz, former Brave, soon-to-be Red Sox, could throw his first major league pitch for the ‘Sox on Thursday.
This North Carolina coach received this FCA-sponsored award.
