Athletes in Action trips, Vanderbilt and Kent Bottenfield

Result of trips
Last night, or maybe it was the night before, we posted about an on-going AIA basketball trip to Poland. This story is about the impact a trip had last year on a player’s life.

Taylor Stokes
A nice story on the first black Vanderbilt scholarship football player and the challenges he faced. He recently earned his degree (yeah, it took him awhile!) but says he’s a changed person due to his faith.

Kent Bottenfield
Remember former pitcher Kent Bottenfield? He wrapped up a 9-year career with the Houston Astros, but his peak was with the Cardinals when he won 18 games vs. 7 losses  in 1999. Now, his eye is on a Christian music career and he’s got a song that hit #6 on the ‘charts’. Check out his site.

  1. Kent is a great guy and a phenomal speaker. He is a member of my church and has filled in for our pastor. He has a wonderful ministry!
