Anyone who knows me will tell you, I love my sports, and I’ve probably come close to losing perspective at times. (Hard to believe, I know!) But this column by St. Louis columnist Bryan Burwell sums up the importance of sports. Then, you look at the Cowboys’ tragedy this weekend, and you realize even more so that big picture wise, sometimes, W’s and L’s don’t matter.
This story about the Baltimore Orioles’ outfielder shows the power of a praying parent.
It is fun how you just keep coming across stories about different players who are now sharing their faith on the speaking circuit. Former Dallas Cowboy Oscar Roan is all over the world, sharing about his relationship with Christ.
This story disappointed me a little bit. It’s about Sam Bradford of Oklahoma, and Zac Davis of Oklahoma State, two friends who play for huge rivals getting together at the state’s FCA banquet. However, it shares more about the two goofing backstage than anything about their faith. But it still gives you insights into the two players.
