Basketball, Irrelevancy and fishin…

Greg Tonagel
“God is more interested in what is happening in you than what is happening to you,” said Indiana Wesleyan University men’s basketball head coach Greg Tonagel in this story.  Tonagel had never really been on my radar, but I’m glad I stumbled across him. He’s a real coach of faith and here’s a story about a mission trip his team took from his website.

Mr. Irrelevant
Nice video about University of South Carolina Gamecock’s Ryan Succop, who was the last player taken in the draft, and is deemed by many as Mr. Irrelevant since he was the last player taken. However, it seems like Soucup has a deep faith that is very relevant. Here’s a quote about Succop from FCA’s Frank Hester:  “Ryan is steady and consistent on and off the field. He loves the Lord and gives Him all the credit for his talent and success. Ryan really tries to give back by speaking at local FCA Huddles and churches and by visiting sick children in the hospital.”

Fishing chaplain
Lot of preachers fish, but this minister takes it to all new level, according to this Baptist Press story.
